Thread: Springfield Hospital Staff Records

On my grandfathers and grandmothers marriage certificate in 1917, my grandfathers occupation is stated as a lunatic asylum attendant at Springfield lunatic asylum in Wandsworth, i was imformed by the Archives that the records are keep at springfield hospital, does anyone know whether there is anyway of obtaining these records from the hospital? or even if they do?

This is my last hope of finding out about my grandad so any help would be greatly appreciated

If it was me i would try writing to the hospital personell dept. They then maybe able to tell you were they are stored and who to contact. As although they may have records they may not be stored at hospital itself.
