Thread: great great great grandmother

Hi please help, I cant find the surname of my g'g'g'grandmothers, the first one is Sarah born in Ireland in 1832(i think), she married someone called Fletcher (if you can find his christian name as well), they had children Frances Henrietta, Rosalene and Ellen VR all born in the west indies. The children came back and lived with their uncle Benjamin Skelton(Skilton) in I believe 1881+, I have tried all sorts of angles and I cant find Sarahs maiden name or her husbands christian name.

2nd g'g'g'grandmother Eliza born in the East Indies, possibly 1846, she married Frederick Fisher(born 1839 in Bradford, wiltshire), I cant find her surname there is a possibility of it being Oliver but cant find a marriage cert for them. I really hope someone can help as i am now tearing my hair out.

From this we know that Fred was probably serving in India, definitely in Malta around the time of the 71 Census, Gibraltar and Aldershot.



I suspect he married Eliza in India.



If Gertrude is Eliza's daughter, she had her at 18 yrs old. The only Gertrude Fisher b in Surrey in 1860s is

Go to FreeBMD and plough through all the deaths after 1900 and find one with an appropriate age.



Not foolproof, but you may find him.

Hi regarding Rosalind her sister Frances is my great great grandmother, she married George Perry and their daughter Edith married Harold Percival Fisher, They had Frederick Harold George (my grandfather) he married Pearl Eileen Tribe and then they had my mum Dorothy

You will have all this I assume , but it just means I'm checking the rght stuff



No sign of Sarah in 1871 Census.



Can only assume they came home in the early 1870s, after Sarah's hubby died.
