Thread: Irish help please

Hi



I need help to trace a marriage in Ireland.



Names

John Galvin (b 1848c Roscommon) to a Mary McGorley (b1856c Ireland)



on the 1891 and 1901 they are living in Glossop Derbyshire.



Their first three children are all born in Ireland Mary 1877 Ellen 1879 and Bridget 1881. Their next child Patrick was born in Glossop in 1882.



We have the maiden name of Mary from a birth certificate of one of the children born in Glossop.



Any advice or leads please.

I have been using www.leitrim-roscommon.com





I think they are connected to brs genealogy; like this site they have lots of volunteers doing a brilliant job and if you can't find anything about your family you will learn abut life at the time.



I also learnt from them that a lot of the boundaries changed in 1898 so keep an open mind about the county records.

Hi all



Think we may have found the marriage !

looked on the familysearch pilot site. There was one listed under Athlone -shown as being in either Roscommon or Neath !



Doesnt give spouse name though, so we need to get the cert to confirm.
