Can anyone help please.. I am helping a freind search for some information about their ancestor a Joseph Trattle.. Below I have attatched the 1901 Census for him with his wife Sarah Ann Trattle Nee Phillips.. Joseph Trattle died in 1901 and from what I have been told he was murdered.. Just wondering if there would be anything in writing about Joseph and his death...Sarah his wife later went on to marry a Walter Boiling.. No information required there..

Just as a matter of fact a story I remember my Mum telling my Sister and
I, was about Emmy Trattles husband, who if the story is right got himself
murdered, evidently he went to the races and by all accounts had a huge
win on the horses he then had too much to drink, got in with the wrong
crowd and was drowned in the Surpantyne. There was no money found on the
body and although there was no proof, there was however a strong belief he
was done in as they say.
