I cannot find a marriage of a William Haughan to an Ellen or Eleanor in Scotland. There is only one to a Mary and a Susan.

I have worked out by the email u sent Starlight that Margaret Ellen Haughan b1877 the Parish is Canonbie in the County of Dumfries hopefully this will give u some more light to work on. Once again thank you.

It is the parish of the marriage that I need. If it is over the border you will have to get the certificate as Kimmy said.

William and Eleanor Haughan had 2 other children Jane bn 1866 at Kingswater in Cumberland and an earlier Margaret (1875-1876) bn and d at Canonbie. Eleanor may have been William's 2nd wife, he is believed to have been previously married to a Fanny Graham who died in 1864.
