    Default 1901 Look-up Please

Mary Ann Muddock ( Horwood )

    B. 1866 - Tingewick, Buckingham

From about 1886 to 1897 she lived at various address in Islington. The last one being Monsell Road in 1897 ( from D/C of her son )

The last address I have for her is Peckwater Street, St Pancras ( from her D/C in Aug 1911 )

I have her in previous census either with her family or with her own family in 1891 when she was married.

By 1901 her husband has a new family.

I've been unable to find her on the 1901 ( or 1911 ) census. I'm interested to see who she might be living with.

Can anyone find her in 1901 ?

    Hi,

If her husband left her or vice versa then she might have taken the surname of the new man in her life, and be living with him as his wife, but was registered at death with her previous married name. There is no Mary Muddock in the Indexes that I have access to.

    Regards

    Victoria

You say you have an address from 1897 -from death cert of son -which son was that ???

Do you have the names of all of her children??

William John was in Cornwall in 1901 and sarah El was in Wales Glam -both in industrial schools

Just wondered if she might be near to one of her children??

I know all about Mary except were she might be in 1901 / 1911.

She had 6 children altogether but only William and Sarah survived. I've got information about these 2 right up untill they died. I also know about her first husband and his second family.

I'd just like to try and fill the gap of where she was in the last 2 census...

The only other 'clue' I have is that the informant on her D/C was a William Bustin from the same address

    Thank you both for trying

    no -Mary isn't listed

1891/1901 the Bustins are at peckwater st

William is described as Blind in 1891

I think they maybe had a laundry

1901 William and Annie were manglers -daughter was Laundress -they worked at home owna/c

1901 they did have a Boarder mary Ann Hill - she was a laundress -and I think she was age 16 -but there is a big blot over the age so not certain

Do you know of any connection with the lawrence family???

just something strange I am looking into at the mo

IF you think The Bustins owned a laundry then perhaps this is the only connection she had with the family. Mary Anns occupation is refered to several times as ' Laundress'

Something strange sounds interesting - But as far as I know there is no connection with the name Lawrence or at least not as far as I know yet
