Thread: Charles James Paradise b.1867 Bath, Somerset

Hi,



I am looking for some help in tracing Charles' parents. He was born in 1867 in Bath, Somerset. I have found him in 1871 census (Melksham, Wilts) where he is described as grandson to Mary Paradise. In the 1881 census (Eltham, Kent) he is described as a nephew to John Paradise.



I cannot seem to find any records linking Charles to his parents and am hoping someone can help.

I am presuming that you do not have his birth certificate, otherwise you would know who his parents are. FreeBMD has the following refernce



Paradise Charles James Oct-Dec 1867 Bath vol 5c page 597



The certificate will give you his parents names and his mother's maiden name.



A quick check for Paradise births in Bath for the period 1860 to 1875 brought up 5 more births who could be siblings.
