Thread: Who is Henry Danskin?

All I know is that Henry Danskin, glassmaker, was born about 1814 _ where? He married Jane Allison 1836 in Newcastle (IGI). Can't find him on any census but found two references to him in Newcastle Courant newspaper - first dated 1851 where he was charged with breaking a square of glass and ordered to pay damages and costs and the other in 1868 when he was charged with attempting to stab a policeman. Does anyone know who were his parents/siblings - did they have any children?

There is an extracted record on the IGI for a Henry Danskin, baptised 4 Dec 1814 in Hunslet, Yorkshire. Parents are Joseph and Ann Danskin.

Following on from Noggin's find that they were non conformists, I've just checked the non conformist register. No new siblings but Joseph's occupation is given as Glassmaker. Looks like Henry followed in his father's footsteps.

FOUND HIM...!!!! Thanks everyone - now I know his parents are Joseph and Ann (nee Longbottom) with siblings, Isabella, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Joseph, Ann and Grace, I can now add Henry. Glassmaking has known to have been in the Danskin family between 18th - 20th century in the North East of England.
