Following on from my Last post - The Family Secert has come to light after lots of searching there was a sad demise to Dr Pearce - womeniser / drunk / embezzler - comitted Suicide 1913 in Liverpool.



Now I know why Granny never wanted to talk about Daddy.



Doctor Charles Pearce lived in ashton under lyne 1895 < 1905 then left under a cloud having run away with his housekeeper to liverpool.



Found his inquest details 1913 liverpool having committed suicide.

Therefore Believe I traced my family to Aaron Miller my G.G.GD. (Started off as Clog Maker) Then (Master Clogg Maker) Then (The Undertaker).



He died 1906 age 72



The gravestone of Aaron Miller, joiner, Smallshaw, who died in 1906, in his 72nd year, bears testimony of his industry, for it states that in the course of his life he made 5,143 coffins.

What a sad, but interseting story. There's nothing so remarkable in my family history - but I live in hope If I've understood you right, you're trying to find who Charles married. Here he is in 1891. I'll do some more digging.



All were born Ashton U Lyne, except Charles born Chile (British subject)



Their address was: 122, Katherine Street.

Charles was sent to England at the start of the Chilean Revolution pre:1870.



I was aware that the Pearce Family in Santiago Chile were Opium Plantation Owners and there land and business were overun by Revolutionalists'.



How strange he committed suicide using Opium !
