I'm trying to find the birth record of William Lawrence born 1806 in St Bartholomew Hyde Winchester Kent so that I can get his parents names. If anyone could help that would be great.

How sure are you that William was born in St Bartholomew Hyde, Winchester?



Could he have just lived there?



If he is the William Lawrence living with Sarah in Jewry Street, St Bartholomew, Hyde in 1851/1861 census’, it just gives Winchester as place of birth.



If so, then the following is a "possibility" for his christening record



04 MAY 1806 Saint Maurice, Winchester, Hampshire, England

Father: Thomas Lawrence Mother: Sarah

Incidentally, Winchester is in Hampshire, is it not?
