Could anyone give advice on getting a copy of my partners birth certificate ?

She was born in 1938 in Berlin but moved to the west with her mother before the outbreak of war. In 1952 she came to England in 1952 with her mother and stepfather in 1952. Unfortunately the copy she had (obtained in West Germany after the war) has been lost
