Ancestry is telling me that my ancestor, Lt Col Robert Spragge's, obituary is incuded in this collection of obituaries before the 1800s, but I can't work out how to locate it.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried searching via Google for Musgrave's Obituary. I can't find a free site to view it. It is in six vols on cd.
Hi Karin,
Do you have full access to Ancestry ? Where did you see it ?
Yes I have full access to Ancestry, but at the moment it just records an entry in the Musgrave Obituary and you can't actually view it. No luck on google books either. It looks like I might have to purchase the volumes, but I thought I'd just see if anyone had already got them.
Hi Karin,
Have you tried searching ' Publications of the Harleian Society' vol's 44-49, this is where the obit's are to be found, compiled by Sir William Musgrave 1735-1800.
My local university holds them, but I work there and have the Summer off and don't want to go in during my Summer break, that would be painful. If you remind me in September and tell me who/what I'm looking for I'll take a look for you.
Thanks SLIZZY - a geat clue. I've viewed 'Publications of the Harleian Society' online and found that Musgrave's obituary reference for my ancestor is the Gentleman's Magazine 47 (I guess in 1766 the year he died). I haven't been able to find this online though.
Go to the home page on Ancestry, you will find this there. It might be what you are looking for.
