    Default Radcliffe Registers - Saddleworth

Does anyone have access to the Radcliffe Registers, which I believe are a trancription of the parish registers undertaken in about 1870?

If so, I'm after the baptism record of William Schofield, likely to have been born in the late 1790s or early 1800s, as well as his marriage record to Mally Hall and the baptism record of his son, William, abt 1826.

There are 84 marriages list for William Scholfield in Lancashire from 1820-1840. This is the only one in Radcliffe.

IGI Individual Record FamilySearch™ International Genealogical Index v5.0 British Isles WILLIAM SCHOLFIELD Spouse: MARY HARRISON

Marriage: 20 JAN 1836 Saint Mary, Radcliffe, Lancashire, England

BMD entries would listed under Bury to 1834 then Heywood

Township or Civil Parish County From To Registration District Radcliffe LAN 1837 1934 Bury

    Radcliffe LAN 1934 1974 Heywood

Look on this site there are 799 Scholfields listed between 1610 -1800. Then try the same site for Radcliffe Lancashire. I'll try looking again tomorrow. Where did you get you data on William and Mally Hall ?

    Hi Noggin

I don't think Karin is referring to Radcliffe the Lancashire town. A John Radcliffe transcribed the Saddleworth Parish Registers and included additional notes and cross references. See here under the heading Parish Registers.

    Hi Karin,

If no-one is able to help it looks like you can buy the register here.

Thanks all for your suggestions. SLIZZY is correct, it is the registers transcribed by John Radcliffe I'm after and I'm having to resort to looking at these as IGI and Ancestry are drawing a blank. Despite being able to locate other children of William Schofield and Mally on them, I'm yet to find a possible marriage or birth record for William.

Thanks for the link to purchase them SLIZZY - it may be what I'll have to do as checking them out in the Lancashire records offices is going to be a challenge from NZ.
