Thread: 1861&71 census look up for Alfred Watson Hunt

I'm looking for the parents & family of Alfred Watson Hunt, born in Ashton, Manchester in 1856. He, & maybe the whole family, later moved to Hull. I have the details of his birth, & his marriage in Hull but cannot trace his ancesters.

I wonder if this could be him in 1861 with the age muddled up with his brother's. I can find no birth of an Alfred in Ashton between 1854-1855

Yes there was one born in 1856. The one aged 7 in the result I gave would have been born earlier than 1856 and it was this one I could not find in the births but I will take another look.

Do you have a copy of his birth cert, if so what were his parents' names?

In 1901 he says he was born in Clayton, Lancs. So, could this be him?

I think it probably is him as, the parents' John and Charlotte were living in Hull in 1891.
