Thread: 1861/1871 CENSUS LOOK UP in HEREFORSHIRE.

Following on from this mornings success i am now looking for an Edward Shuck and his wife Susannah in the 1861/1871 census, Edward was born c.1834 and Susannah c.1828 both in Herefordshire. Susannah is deceased by the 1881 and Edward lives with his brother Richard in a Bromyard Guest house. Did Edward have any children? Hoping someone can help me please. Roberto.

I think this is them on the 1861 - will now look for them on the 1871. (Samuel is a visitor)

Can't find Edward in 1861 but in 1871 they are living at PortHouse, Bromyard

Shuck Edward 35 Farm labourer born Cradley, Hereford

Shuck Susannah 37 Farm Labourer born Bosbury, Hereford



No children though,



and, in case you don't have it, the GRO Ref for their marriage

Jun 1857 Bromyard vol 6a page 906.

If I have the correct family in the 1861 census, then it looks as if the daughter Mary A Shuck died in 1861

Teresa i'm looking into this one Susannah could be Hannah. Samuel Jones has the same surname as her. The daughter is 9Yrs old but they married in June 1857. I will go over to Hereford and try to look at the original census. Thanks once again. Roberto.
