Thread: Birth certificate for John Thompson Saunderson

I would like to send for the birth certificate of my gt.grandfather, John Thompson Saunderson but have been unable to find the registration of his birth. He was born on the 21st Dec 1849 in Hull, parents were Robert Saunderson and Ann Boyce Saunderson (maiden name was Saunderson - I believe they were cousins). I would be most grateful for any help. Thank you.

have you thought of contacting Hull Register Office? Sometimes registrations got lost when they were sent to the GRO?

How sure are you of his exact birthdate?

There's a marriage for Robert Saunderson and Ann Boyce Saunderson 1844 Jan-Feb-Mar, Kingston upon Hull vol 22 p.232

I have a family bible passed down to me and have been piecing together names and dates. I have John's parents marriage certificate but would like his birth certificate for other information. Thank you for your interest.

Sorry, I didn't see your first post. Yes I will contact Hull Reg. Office to see if they can help. Do you know where I could find his death reg. as I have the same problem?

That's brilliant that's definitely him! Regarding his death, I believe he was living either at North Cave or South Cave I can't remember which, it could be Hessle, Hull. Thank you!
