Thread: John Mannion born in Boston, USA

Hi,



Hope someone can help.



My grandfather, John Mannion was born about 1881 in Boston, USA. His parents were Francis Mannion and Bridget Mulligan. They were married in 1878 in Warrington, Lancashire. Would like to search for his birth record but my subscriptions on other sites don't cover this.



Their next child was born in 1883 in Warrington, so they didn't stay long. I've been looking on passenger lists, but so far haven't found them. Would appreciate any help.

I have found them on 1891 living in Lancashire Francis now Frank and Bridget were both born in Ireland which could make your search more difficult. If you want all census details let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I already have the census records. I know that Francis was born in Galway and Bridget was born in Mayo. I have a copy of their marriage and death certificates, and the same also of John Mannion, but I can't find any evidence that they went to the USA or any birth record for John.

I did look on the 1880 US census and the passenger lists with no luck. I will have another look later incase they have been mistranscribed.

Thanks for looking. I can't find any trace of them on the UK 1881 census, and on the 1911 census he has listed Boston as his place of birth.
