Thread: 1851 census search for Margaret Kirkwood/Achison

Can I please ask for anyone to help me find Margaret Kirkwood on the 1851 census for England. born 1814 in Wooler, Northumberland. Daughter of James and Isabella Kirkwood. Siblings Jane, John, Mary, James and Joseph. In 1841 was living in Pilgrem St, Newcastle upon Tyne, All saints parish with mother and siblings (father passed in in Jan 1841 before census). I cannot find Margaret on the 1851 census, I know she married as she became Margaret Achison. On the 1861 census she is living with her new husband William Atkinson in Newcastle, she was widowed some time between 1841 and 1853 as she remarries in 1853. Any help finding her would be most appreciated.

Not sure if you have seen this entry but as I can find no marriage for Margaret to ? Achison perhaps she didn't marry him.



I have looked at the actual image but it is very poor and virtualy unreadable.

Whittingham is about 10 or so miles south of Wooler.
