Daisy Thompson/Thomas/McLaughlin
Hi, I am looking for information about Daisy Thompson, who was apparently born in Canada on August 16, 1880 and dies in New York on March 22, 1955.
The only information I have is the following, taken from the Find a Grave site:
Birth: Aug. 16, 1880, CanadaDeath: Mar. 22, 1955
New York, USA
Daisy May Thompson(adopted name) was the daughter of Frances McLaughlin and unknown. She married Alexander H.Thomas,son of Seth and Mary Ann. She was a remarkable woman, who ran a small farm on Olmstedville Road virtually by herself.
What I am confused about is that I thought that she was the sister of my ancestor, Samuel McLaughlin. I know they are related somehow, because I have talked to my grandfather about it and he said that the description was definitely her (about the farm in Olmstedville). But Samuel was born around 1850, so it just seems that there is too much of a gap. Also, I didn't know she was adopted, and I'm not sure if it's possible to find records about that but it would also be helpful.
