I seemed to have hit a brickwall I have Phoebe Green on the 1881 Census as widowed born 1836 in Rickmansworth Hertfordshire and also a death 1915 in Macclesfield. She has 5 children, Lucy Ann b 1860 Macclesfield, Priscilla b Sep qrt 1862 Macclesfield,

Alice Green b Mar 1865 Macclesfield,

Edith A Green born Sep 1873 Macclesfield

Ernest born Mar 1877 Macclesfield.



What was Phoebe's maiden name and place of marriage?

I did have 2 possibles as an hubby for Phoebe, it was either Robert or Joseph, so Joseph it is

born 1835-Mar 1881 aged 46 Macclesfield. Still I couldn't find Phoebey's maiden name though. So thankyou for that Slizzy and a bonus for the additional names

Ernest Winfield Green joined the army and as Army records from 1914-1918, been on to the CWGC site, no sign of him being killed in action,so I don't know where he ended up. He married Mary May Whittaker in 1898 in Macclesfield, she died in 1928 in Macclesfield.
