Thread: 1901 look up Priestly Bancroft.

I am hoping someone can help me find a Priestly and Hannah Bancroft in the 1901 census. He was born in 1865 - Halifax. Did they have any children and what was his occupation? They married in 1887. Roberto.

It may be worth you looking at the 1911 census - it is only available as a pay per view site at the moment -but you can uses the index for free



using advanced search i did find in halifax reg dist priestley bancroft age 46 and in same household Louis age 18 and Annie age 12

Didn't try looking for other members of household

Harryman, Thank you once again for your help and advice. I have just discovered that Priestly had a brother named Gledhill, also born in Halifax district. I will have to look them up one day in the 1871 census. thanks once again, Roberto

it seems Priestly and Gledhill were b Ovenden - and in later census gave p.o.b. as Halifax!!

I know this is a reply to a very old posting, but do you know that there is a record on line of this family grave at the Mount Zion, Ovenden website, including a picture?
I also have details of the line going back several generations if you are interested.
