Thread: Looking for info on Daisy Ellis

I'm trying to find out about Daisy, wife of John Thomas Ellis, she is something of a mystery. They were married sometime in the early 50's but no-one in the family knew her maiden name, or where she came from.

Would appreciate any information and thanks to anyone who can help.

Do you have a bit more info, where they lived, or where John Thomas was born. I assume you mean 1950

Thanks for your prompt reply. John Thomas Ellis was born in Dewsbury area, I think and lived there for all his life except when he was in the forces. His mother and father were Joseph Reuben Ellis and May Annie Ellis. I believe he was in his forties when he married. Hope this helps.

I have looked through all entries from Jan 1946 -Dec 1960 for a marriage between a John Thomas Ellis and Daisy ?. Could the 1950's be the wrong time frame or Daisy be the wrong christen name ?

I'm afraid I don't have much information on Daisy and that was the only name I knew her by, she was always known as Daisy. We never knew any of her family so we haven't any clues there. They were married in Dewsbury, but we are not sure of the date, we do know however, that John and Daisy did not get married until after the war was over as John was in Italy and Africa until the war ended, so it must have been after then. If Daisy had another name then she kept it secret from everyone.
