Trying to find Isaac Smith.
1881 Census living in Brighton with wife Caroline ( nee Harman), whom he wed in 1876 in Brighton
1881 census states he was born in Southampton abt 1851.
I can find no trace of ISAAC or CAROLINE thereafter on subsequent census or BMD - nor children Elizabeth (1882 Brighton) Henry (abt 1876)
Any help or suggestions please

Is there any possibility they emigrated? or perhaps moved out of the County? I found this in June qr 1928 Isaac Smith age 81 Southampton 2c 66, I think your Isaac would be about 77/78yrs but I guess family or whoever registered the death could have got his age wrong, but this does not help with subsequent census'es from 1881, some people got missed off the census for a number of reasons perhaps they have been wrongly transcribed? or perhaps those particular pages are missing.I understand some people never went on the census [a lot to do with mistrust] & some just were never about when the enumerator came around, & if neighbours did not know them they would perhaps get missed off.

It might be his death? I've obtain so many useless certs, searching for the Smith / Parker family. *
It is of course possible that they emigrated - I only have the UK Ancestry package.
I imagine they were quite poor and possibly moved from one set of lodgings to another.
*Their daughter Elizabeth married a George Parker, and according to the East Sussex records office, abandoned their 4 children into the Brighton (Rottingdean) Industrial school, when they were very young, and the Institution either made up their birthdates...or the parents failed to register them!

perhaps if you put all the info you have on the family someone might be able to trace them for you. fresh eyes soemtimes help
