Thread: CLARK, LUNN

I am looking for any information on Harriet Alice Clark/Alice Harriet Clark (born 1858 in England.) She married John Lunn, (born 1843 in Smethwick, Staffordshire, , England). The information I have says they both came to the United States . John traveled on the Adriatic and arrived 3 Oct 1879. I have no information on Harriet's arrival. They were married in 1881 in the USA. I am able to trace John Lunn and show he resided in Newton in Makerfield, Lancashire, England in 1851.I can not find anything on Harriet Clark. My father has been told that she came from a wealthy family. She lived in Pennsylvania after arriving in the USA. They had seven children: Ethel Mae 1884, George William 1886, Henrietta Eve 1888, Ernest Alfred 1891, Edna Pearl 1893 (my grandmother), Jennie Louise 1896 and Julie U 1899.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My dad turned 87 this month and I am trying to produce a family tree for him.

On the 1900 US census it states that Herriett was born in Engand July 1858.



The only entry I could find in the period Jul Aug Sept 1858 was:

I could not find a Harriett Alice or Alice Henriett.

can't find a Harriet Clark in 1861 born in Lambeth

has an Alice Clark b abt 1857 living 29 Francis Street in Lambeth



parents Robert 47 and Eliza 45. Robert is a labourer, Eliza a laundress, both born in Westminster.



All the children were born in Lambeth. They are

Robert 21 carman

James 18 potter

William 17 carman's boy

Henry 9

Susan 13

Mary Ann 8

Alice 4

Emma 4 months

Emma Mason 19 servant

Thank you for your response. I belong to ancestry.com and I have searched for over a month and I keep finding no verification that Harriet Clark ever existed. I know she did though!

Have you tried searching with a different spelling? If not, try Clarke.

WELSHLADY: I am unable to locate a certificate of marriage or a birth certificate. I will keep searching though. Thank you.
