Thread: Margaret Jane Hawkins

I need help finding information about my great grandmother, Margaret Jane Hawkins. What I know is that she married William Davies June 13, 1886 in the St. Thomas Church in the parish of Walton on the Hill. Her father, Thomas served as witness along with Mary Jane Davies. She was 19 years old. They went on to have 6 children. Elizabeth born 1887, Annie in 1888, Bessie, 1890, Emily 1892, William 1894 and Samuel in 1895. William sr. died in 1895 or 1896. Elizabeth and Annie were placed in the Bluecoat orphanage in 1896 and 1897 and were listed as fatherless. Margaret remarried. Her second husband was James B. Rigby. They had a son, James in 1899. In 1904 Emily, William and Samuel were sent to Canada, probably as Home Children. Annie came over in 1910 where she married my grandfather, Emily's brother in law. Bessie came over a few years later. I would like to know more about Margaret Jane. Who was her mother? Did she have any brothers or sisters? Where was she born? Where did she die? I have no information on Elizabeth either. She was the only child who stayed in England. Why I do not know. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. Thank you.

I can't find her on earlier censuses, what was her father Thomas' occupation?
