Thread: F. T. Atkins, Chymist!

Hello, looking for the census records for Francis Thomas Atkins, born about 1790ish who was operating a Chemist & Druggist store in High Street, Deptford, Kent/London in 1840 (Pigot's) - by 1855 (Post Office Directory) he was in Powis Street, Woolwich. I am hoping to tie him in with my other Atkins from Deptford, as some of his children had the same names as some of mine, so any information is much appreciated!

Thanks Star, it would seem Augusta's age is out in '51 - should be more like 18? And if so, where is she in '41, and, for that matter, where is Ernest in '51?

Who knows!? She may have been enumerated twice..... in the later censuses is there any indication of 2 Lois's? IGI Has Lois Atkins married Edward Robert in 1842 (she died 1881 [March Q.] aged 62).

A few tie with the Batten family from Bradford, Wilts....

Francis & Elizabeth both died in the 1870s, so they should turn up on a couple more censuses as well.



Also, if there's any possibility of deducing Francis' parents, that would be excellent!
