Thread: Death of Charles Edwin armitage

Hi, Looking for help to find death of my great uncle,Charles Edwin Armitage b.1911 in crofton Yorks. I do not have a death year and can't narrow it down. All I know is that he was still alive in 1938 and may have been living in Either Durham or west yorkshire. Any help would be much appreciated.

I could only find one entry fo a Charles Edwin Armitage between 1939-83.



BMD. Armitage Charles Edwin 20 feb 1911 Oxford 20 2287 3Q 1882. Are you sure he stayed in the Yorkshire / Durham area ?

Hi Noggin28, Thanks for looking, i am really grateful. I am not sure where he went . I only know he left Deal in kent after the death of my Grandfather James Armitage. He left with his sister Lily and Noboby heard from them again. as they were orphaned young Lily had lived with relatives in Duram and Charles had lived with granparents in Wakefield. I had been told that Lily had modelled for selfridges. Don't know whether this was in london. Also I do have a photo of Charles in a military uniform as a young man but didn't think he had stayed in .Charles also had a daughter born, I think around 1932 , possibly named Jane, but he and His wife separated. It's all a bit complicated as these thing usually are so you may have found the right Charles. Do you have death year?
