I am looking for any info on the parents of Sarah Carr born 1840 in Salford, Lancs



She married Thomas Buckley in 1857

No 40 birth in Salford!!



Possibly born 41 Salford



Births Mar 1841

Carr Sarah Matilda Salford 20 791



No Buckley/ Carr marriage 1857.

Do you know which month Sarah was born? If it was December, it's very possible the birth wouldn't have been registered until the first qrt 1841.



On the census returns from 1861 onwards, Sarah's birth place has been recorded as Pendleton - same as Thomas'. Is this definitely wrong?

Unfortunately I do not know the month of birth.

Don't worry. I will have to make a visit to the records office. I have to go one day

No Cockim marriage or Cookham

Getting the marriage certificate will give her father's name and occupation!!

I did find that the marriage took place when I thought it did and Sarah was born 1840.
