    Default 1861 Census Help Please

    I have just received the birth cert of a relative - Sarah Rebecca King and am struggling to find her in the 1861 census along with any possible siblings. She would have only been about 7 or 8 at the time. I would be extremely grateful if someone were able to have a look for me. The details are as follows:

    Name: Sarah Rebecca King

    Born - 12 February 1853

    Place - Woodpecker Lane, Deptford, Greenwich

    Father - George King

    Mother - Naomi King (formerly Gant)

    George and Naomi married in September 1852 in the Greenwich district.

    Thanks

    Hi

    just did a quick search and found a Sara born London living with an uncle and Aunt, Thomas and Lydia Cooper, also found a George born 1809 and Naomi born 1804 with a daughter Victoria, all on the 1861, do any of these names ring bells

    Hi Pettican,

    I think the records Laurie found are very strong possibilities as, I found this marriage of a Thomas Cooper and on the same page is a Lydia KING - could Lydia be George's sister?

    This would appear to be Lydia in 1841, with parents' Isaac and Lydia.

    Name: Lydia King Age: 20 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1821 Gender: Female Where born: Suffolk, England

    Civil Parish: Stoke By Nayland Hundred: Babergh County/Island: Suffolk Country: England

    Isaac King 55 Lydia King 50 Saml King 20 Lydia King 20 Mary Ann King 15 Abraham King 15 Lucy King 14 Thomas King 10 Cornelius King 7 Henry King 4

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    And here's a likely christening for George.
    George King
    Thanks to both of you for all your hard work with this - I'm still digesting what you've found out but it seems you've found the right people - excellent. I didn't know about George possibly having a sister called Lydia and had no info on possible parents Isacc and Lydia. Thanks
