Thread: AA BMD DATABASE HELP!

I was searching through the ancestry aid bmd database

for a John Mcdonald a got this information.

ADDRESS: 17 PRESTON STREET GOVANHILL GLASGOW SCOTLAND

MOTHER:ELLEN COLMAN

SOURCE:SCOTLANDS PEOPLE

OWNERS SITE USERID:14472

however i was wondering if i could get more information on john mcdonald using this,

could i find out the names of his children and spouse ?

if so where?

The BMD of AA Database were from members own cert. or their own research in parish records . Like yourself it helps other members researching same family name .





To find children ect to them you could try also the census .

It may be possible. I will have a look a bit later and see what I can find. However, the name McDonald is very commom. If he remained in Glasgow there may be a chance.

There are 111 John McDonald marriages just for 1910-1912. It might pay you to contact the member who's profile I have added to my previous post.

Unfortunately, the 1911 census for Scotland will not be coming out early.

Hi starlight thanx for your reply..i actually sent a pm to the member,although i havnt heard back i googled their user name just by chance and found photos and more info on their john mcdonald, unfortunately its not the same person im looking for....
