Thread: How close is Staindrop to Kirkleatham

I am having trouble sorting out a marriage. Both groom and bride same names in both places, on same day. I just hope they are next door to the other and are the same wedding

One is Benjamin Tannett and Ann Holliday Staindrop. The other Benjamin Tennett and Anne Halliday in Kirkleatham 30 May 1782

38 miles, so it seems a coincidence.



One of them is almost certainly a mistake, and getting someone to check the PRs for both is probably your best bet.

It would appear that the Kirkleatham registers aren't transcribed, sadly



However, as the ones for Staindrop are and Benjamin and Ann aren't there
