Is this your John Wood?



John Wood born 1854 in Scotland, he lived in a place called Quickeningcote and he was a shepherd.

I got this from the 1871 Census. I really hope it helps.

I could not find anything about him being in Black Watch though.

hello sarah i have just joined and saw your message i am a traveller and my mother is a scotch gypsy and her surname is macdonald she was born in 1936 and hyas alot of realatives with the name john macdonald all the name that you mention in your search are travellers names apart from wood so i think the people you are looking for will be from the travelling community and will certainly be related to us do you have any more information on the macdonalds

I know John Mcdonald was born in 1915. died in 1940 stirling

not sure if he was born ther though.He also Lived in Edinburgh with his wife Sarah Young. Thats where ther two children were born.



His father was also John Mcdonald

Mother was Jean White



Jean White and John Mcdonald also had two other children,

Elizabeth (betsy) Mcdonald, Who i was told never married or had children

But that Might not be for sure. I also heard she had a big house where the grounds were big enough to have a trailer in it.



Jean (jeannie) Mcdonald. Who i was told married and became a Reid.



What is your mothers name? and her parents names?
