Thread: Chelsea area census help please

I am trying to find any information on my uncle Henry William Phillips. Born in Chelsea? around 1896. He was killed July 1916 at the Somme. His mother, my g/mother, was Florence Phillips, and I have an address in Ifield Rd. Chelsea, from CWGC site, also on my mothers birth cert.. I can't find his birth details or death cert. or any info. from TNA. His army records seem to be one of those burnt. I would be grateful for any help from the census or anywhere else.

The quick answer is no. This is part of the same blind alley you have tried to help me with before. The only info. I have is mothers name & the address. On my two known aunts birth certs. fathers name is blank. On mothers b/cert. fathers name Charles William Phillips, but drawn a blank on that. Since your last help found my mother was christened at St. Cuthberts, Kensington. This will be one of my next visits to view any records. From another help - Henry W born London, residence Aberystwyth, (possibly to join Welsh Regiment) enlisted London.
