Thread: Meredith - Canada

I am trying to find details of Mansel Meredith who went to Canada in 1928 he supposedly died in a gold mine disaster alsolooking for details on his wife Rachel and daughter Catherine also he possibly had a son.

Also looking for details of Evan Meredith he was brother to Mansel they originaly came from Wales

I have emigration record for Mansel Meredith arrived on the "Empress of France" 24 Aug 1928 from Southampton into Quebec. Says he was born in Trecocky and his wife is Rachel - 2, Maiden's Grove, Llandebie

Also have Rachel going back on the "Duchess of Bedford" into Liverpool on the 2nd May 1936 from Montreal.



She gives her destination address as 12, Maiden's Grove, Landebie, Camarthenshire.

OK, so now have voyage from Liverpool to Montreal, Quebec arriving 19th July 1930 on "Duchess of Richmond"

Daughter: Catherine (7)

Son Evan: (3 I think!)

Brother-in-Law: Evan (20) B: Pentre



All going to meet Mr. Mansell J. R. Meredith 94, Earsdale Ave., Oakwood, Toronto.



Rachel states that her father is Mr. William Merriman, 12, Maiden's Grove, Llandebie, Wales



Bother in law Evan, states that his father is Mr. Evan meredith, 2, chebstow Rd, Comport, Treborcky, Glamorgan
