Thread: McLAUCHLAN - PERTHSHIRE SCOTLAND

Looking for parents & siblings of John McLauchlan born 1801 Dunkeld Perthshire. May have been baptised Moulin.

John married Marjory Milne from the Parish of Cargill in Coupar Angus on Dec 26 1824.

He was an ag. lab. & farm servant.



Children:

Ann married David DUNN in Perthshire

William b: 1836 married Christina Sutherland b: 1838 from Caithness, in Christchurch NZ in June 1868

May married Peter Galletly in Perthshire

James b: 1841 married Mary Ann McCleary in Leeston NZ.



John came with his children & son-in-laws to NZ after Marjory died between 1843 & before 1851 census. Believe they went back to Cargill when Marjory took ill, where Marjory's family resided, in order for John to work while he had help with her care.

Now believe Marjery McLauchlan MS Milne died in 1850 in Evelick Kilspindie Perth and was possibly the daughter of Alexander Milne & Isobel Smith of Inverkeilor Parish.



Can any member confirm, in the paragraph above these facts for me please.
