    Hi there Kimberlynn

If this 1841 entry is correct, the street name is Crossley Street, which is still there. Nearly all local residents work in the mill in some respect or other.

I think this is Sarah in 1841, but as you haven't given me the Source Citation [which is found at the bottom of the Census Record and not the Image] I am unable to find John, or the baby John who appears in 1851 as 12 years old.

This I believe is the birth of baby John.

Was the name of John's first wife Elizabeth??

thank you so much, now i have the street! i have both the census,s you gave me, but thanks anyway, its john i am stuck on, where he was at that time from losing elizabeth in feb 1841 (her maiden name was brown) to marrying sarah in oct 1841! i have eliz death and another baby (henry) i have never in 3yrs been able to find the marriage to elizabeth, i only know john edward was born on trowbridge street liverpool in 1838 i have john edwards birth cert thank you, it does not tell you much only eliz maiden name and john was a painter.but if you can get anything at all i would be very gratefull. i had the marriage to sarah off b.m.d. share .com so theres no citation, i have never found a census for 1841 for john, regards k.

    Right then

This would point to the two Johns being somewhere in Warrington on 6 June 1841 at the time of the Census.

    A long shot...................

1841 England Census for Green Lane, Warrington, Lancashire

    Name: John Sephton

    Age: 3

Household Members: All b in County

    Name Age

    Henry Sephton 30 Foundry Man

    Mary Sephton 20

    John Sephton 3

    Henry Sephton 75 Ag Lab

Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece 521; Book: 1; Civil Parish: Warrington; County: Lancashire; Enumeration District: 4; Folio: 6; Page: 5; Line: 1; GSU roll: 306907.

I have a hunch that Henry and Mary may be bro and sis, as I am unable to find this family in 1851. Henry Snr is their father and John may be John Edward.

Wonder if John Snr had a bro Henry??

Or.......................... another family and another long shot

1841 England Census for Traverses Farm, Warrington

    Name: John Sephton

    Age: 25

Household Members: All b in County

    Name Age

    Mary Sephton 55 Farmer

    John Sephton 25

    Mary Sephton 20 Mantua Maker

    Henry Sephton 19

    Ann Sephton 15

Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece 521; Book: 1; Civil Parish: Warrington; County: Lancashire; Enumeration District: 4; Folio: 10; Page: 13; Line: 18; GSU roll: 306907.

This John has no occupation allocated to him, but would likely work on the farm, unless he's just staying there.

hi, well there is no henry senior in my lot (the one age 75) but--johns son died in 1840 and his name was henry, but i have never found a henry! oh dear this is getting complicated! i am wondering who mary at the farm was wed to? i suppose she was a widow, i shall have to look for her husband perhaps that will ring a bell. thank you!
