Thread: Naturalisation record look up

Hi

I am searching for information on Christopher Baden who married eLIZA fOX IN 1856 in St Marys Whitechapel. He gives his place of birth in census records as Germany in 1830 I can't find any further info before 186 and Hope someone can help by looking up naturalisation records which I believe are kept in the National Archives.

Just seen your message. I am afraid that no-one can do a look-up for what you want unless they visit the NRO themselves with a specific research request. If you go to:-

and follow the link Naturalisation and Citizenship: Grants of British Nationality. you will find a comprehensive research guide telling you what you need to do, and what is available. Basically, from the main page:-



1844-1969

The National Archives holds duplicate naturalisation certificates from 1844 to 1969.

Between 1844 and 1873, Home Office naturalisations were enrolled on the Close Rolls in C 54

Between 1870 and 1969, duplicate naturalisation certificates can be found in HO 334
