Thread: Fenner Family, Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland

I am trying to find out any information on the Fenner family in Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland in the 1700s. I have traced my family back to then and I would like any information on a Theophilus Fenner born around 1730, I believe he was the father of George Fenner born in 1775. I also would like any information on a Laurence Fenner who was on a list of Provosts for the town for the year 1773/74. He may also be related as Fenner isn't a common name and the town wasn't very large. There is also a T. Fenner listed as a Official Authority for County Cavan 1834. He is listed as the Commissioner of Affadavits for Belturbet and he is listed as follows, T. Fenner, Ch. K.C.E., Belturbet. I was wondering if you have any way of finding out what the letters after his name mean and if there is any way of finding out what the T. stands for. Thank you, Lynda Fenner McKee.

Hello Lynda, Laurence Fenner was my GGGGGrandfather. His son, William, married Frances Johnston on 21Aug1846 in Drumlane Parish, County Cavan, Ireland. I have not been able to find his birth record. On his death certificate, his father is listed as Lawrence Fenner, Farmer. Lawrence was married to Mary Jones.
This is the only info that I have other than the fact that William ended up in Scotland.
