Thread: Trying to find William Feetenby

Trying to trace my grandfather. William Feetenby. Locomotive fireman at steel foundry. My grandmother, Rhoda Feetenby (Nee Thompson) was born 1890. Boosbeck Cleveland. My mother, Lucy Feetenby, born 2/11/1916, Thornaby on Tees. I've searched Marriage Records but unable to find anything. Help required please.

I think maybe William's name has been mistranscribed -





I have found a marriage for a William Festenby and a Rhoda Thompson

1912 December quarter vol. 9d page 1099 Guisbrough, North Riding of Yorkshire.

Can't see Feetenby or Festenby on 1911 census. Ancestry has Magaret Festenby in 1881 an that is the only Festenby entry except the ma rriage.

1891 Census. John born Romanby Northallerton, occupation platelayer on N.E. Railway. Fanny born Kirby Ravensworth, Yorkshire. All children born Northallerton.
