looking for mary knight born abt 1844 hyde,manchester



mary came to new zealand to live and got married in 1870



looking for information before she arrived in nz , parents etc

when did she live to come to nz ? did she come with her parents ?

Only Mary Knight born within 5 years =/- 1844 in Hyde on 1851 census is

living in Ashton Street, Hyde.



Her mother Ann is widowed, 39 and no occupation is listed. Birthplace Hollingwood, Lancs.

Children are

Elizabeth, 11, nurse, Mary, 9, scholar, John A. 6, scholar, and Sarah aged 7 months, all born in Hyde.

Can't see family in 1841 to see who father was.

Can't see Mary in 1861.

I have a Lily Knight born 1902. She Married a Charles Hood and was widowed in 1931? They appear to have come from the West Midlands area? She died in 1990 Named Lily Nash Does that help?
