Thread: searching for Michael Higgins in Cheshire

I hope some kind person can help me.



I am trying to find Michael Higgins bc 1805-1810 ( an educated guess at the moment) in Ireland and living in Birkenhead, Cheshire, occupation as per son John's marriage - Farmer. Son John Higgins bc 1835 Ireland, married in 1859 Birkenhead, Cheshire. I don't know of any other siblings to John and I'm hoping that they came over from Ireland and were here for the 1851 census. I think Michael Higgins will be on the 1861 census and I am trying to find the rest of the family. If he can be found on any census that would be great.

No Michael Higgins in 1861 living in Cheshire born Ireland 1802-1812. What makes you think he came to England?

I don't know for sure he was living here, but his son married in Birkenhead, Cheshire in 1859 and lived in Birkenhead also. I asked for a lookup to see if father Michael also came over. So I don't know if anyone has been able to find him, but there is a death in Birkenhead, for a Michael Higgins b1812 died 1889 - again not sure if mine hence my investigations!
