is there anyway of finding who lived at 6 sayes st deptford in 1886?

i have checked the 1881 and 1891 census but i need the exact year of 1886. can a electoral register be checked with just a address to see who lived there or are they organised by name?

Yes, electoral registers are arranged by street, so its better to have an address than a name! Electoral registers are at the relevant county archives as well as a large collection at the British Library. But not everyone had the vote in 1886 so only those eligible to vote would be listed.



Another possibility is a residential street directory.
