Hi,
My ancestor John Thompson, born 1838, married a servant in the house where he was boarding by the name of Bridget/Mary Hannon. Bridget came from Ireland, and was born 1836 roughly. In the 1861 census, Bridget is listed as 'Mary Hannan' but we have enough reason to believe she also went by the name of Bridget; the marriage took place in 1861 and she is registered as Bridget, with her father being Michael Hannon, a labourer. After 1861, the pair disappear from England census records, giving us reason to think they either went back to Ireland or to America. A sister of John went to America twenty years later also.
Could anyone give me an indication of where to search for this, or could give a look up? It would be so appreciated; the pair have disappeared entirely, and it would be wonderful to find them.
Thanks for all you do,
Vicki
