Thread: 1861 census look up please

Hi, seeking information on George Read b1850 Bolton, Lancashire. His mother being Margaret Read b1810. I cant seem to find him anywhere on the 1861 census, even when i use different variations of the Read surname. Hope somebody can help me. Any information will be greatly recieved, thanks.

Where did you get you info about the 1850 birth in Bolton?

One problem that I find on a regular basis, and so do many others, is the fact that very often the name that you have may not be the first. You could try just looking for the surname; that might be worth a try.

I can't find them in th 1851 census either. Have you perhaps, considered that George might have died in the meantime ?
