Thread: Thomas Richard Doughton

Hello all



Im just wondering if somebody can look at some records on Ancestry to do with a rellie by the name of Thomas Richard Doughton that was born in 1880 and went to live in Canada.

Thomas was born in Wales.

I would love to see if he travelled with anybody and if possible when he died in Canada.



Any help would be fantastic.

He was on the 1911 census and i believe he went not long after.

They could be, Ill take note of them and see what I can find.



When I went on Ancestry before I typed in Thomas Richard Doughton born 1880 Wales and died in Canada It gave X amount of results and then I went to the list Emigration and the first ones on there were my Thomas.

He was an Iron Moulder.

I dont surpose you can see him on the 1891 census in Wales or Birkenhead can you?

Do you know who his parents were ?

His parents were David Doughton and Elizabeth Woosnam.



I believe they went to Canada aswell.

I cant understand why Thomas died in Canada but his wife died in Birkenhead aswell as his kids.

I have seen on ancestry that David Henry Doughton on a ship to Canada.

Also on CWGC there is Davids death in Belgium 1917 which states that his parents lived at 14, Oak St., Smith's Falls, Ontario and he was a native of Wales.
