Thread: George Dolby and Family !901 census please.

Would someone please look up in the 1901 census for Northants a George Dolby b. c.1873 in Duddington. My records show him working with horses on a farm. Did he marry? Did he have any children? I thank anyone in advance for their time.

The George I have found 1901 Middlesborough Yorkshire is born Duddington Northamptonshire aged 27 married to Sarah 29 Cleckheaton Yorkshire one child Frederick 2 months Middlesborough.

But you said that you have him working with horse, this one is a Tailor so I'm not sure it's right.

The age is right, the birth place is correct. Family tales are not always correct. He may have worked with horses when younger and in a rural setting. Yes please go ahead with sending me details. If i am right(from memory) he had a brother who went to work in Sheffield, Yorks.

Have you considered George's name may have been mis-spelled in the marriage index? I ask as ............. the possible brides of George DOLBY don't jump out on any census, however this (DALBY) marriage has a possible wife named Sarah Robinson, and there is a Sarah Robinson born Cleckheaton on the census. Just a thought.
