Thread: 1911 Census

Apologies if this is already covered elsewhere.....but does Ancestry.co.uk have the 1911 census on line.



Also, thinking that I may have to subscribe...is it really the best website for farmily history????? or are there any other alternatives?

Find my past has sole access to the 1911 census. Everyone has their own preferences to the sites they use. The major sites allow you to either have a free trial or purchase credits so that you can see what is best for you.

Find My Past will have 1911 as part of its subscription later. At the moment its payperview - 10 credits for a transcription and 30 credits to see the original census form.



FMP has a lot of datasets, but Ancestry is still better at the moment, I think as it has all censuses 1841-1901, the birth, marriage and deaths indexes, Pallot's baptism and marriage indexes and WW1 records, as well as other odds and bits.
