    Harryman

I am very aware that she is not there which is why I have posted on here for any suggestions as to were I go from here. Her siblings are all registered so find it odd she is not. I have the details as she is my husbands G Grandmother and they were very close.

I just wondered aout her as there is a birth 31 mar 1897 on Ancestral file - and you always have to treat those entries with caution.

I just wondered if you had her marriage reg or any other documentation which gives her the same middle name

    Hi Harryman,

The ancestral file you speak of is my own so I know it to be correct. I have marriage and death certs with her as Mary Emily.

    it is a mystery!!!

I checked complete index - nothing

I suppose she could be entered as "female" or "infant" -or badly mistranscribed - I have found Honeyman transcribed as Hunniman Honneyman, Honniman and Honnimen

Found her on 1911 census too

Wonder if her birth was registered late??? and maye just in the name of mary

I have onein my tree who was reg a year late - he was b Jun 1910 ut his birth reg is Jun 1911 -we knew about that through te family though - his father was supposed t register him but forgot so waited until the same date the following year

I also have one who wasn't registered (1911) His mum left his dad when he was 1 month old and so he wasn't registered

    I'll keep looking

    thanks for your replys

I have her in all other records but just not her birth which is frustrating but not impossible as there are so many not registered. I have tried all spellings varients to no avail and if female etc. I have tried alternative years other surnames etc. I am now pondering the Idea that maybe she was one of the other familys child and they took her on as a baby because her parents married the year before her supposed birth in Haggerston in 1896 and had a child in 1899 Haggerston and she is supposed to be born 1897 Stoke Newington or Kingsland in the 1911 Census which is where her father was born so maybe one of his relations but they are rather ilusive themselves as can not find her father in the 1861, 1881 and 1891 censuses.

I think Abels father is with them in 1911

If you manage to get the 1911 census (pay per view) it would be interesting to see where they put p.o.b.???
