Thread: Robbins Family Tree

Hi all,



I hope someone maybe able to help me, i am looking for help with my family tree, i know my Ggrandad was James robbins (1896 - 1960?) and he married Edith Burnett, James parents were Albert James Robbins and Elizabeth Foy.



James was from Dundee but moved to london where he married and i think he had about 7 brothers and sisters who moved to america.



If anyone has any information or any ideas of where to look as i have hit a brick wall and dont know where else to go.

Have you found James in 1901 census? Are you wanting to trace his siblings or his parents?

I would like to find himm in 1901 census but am unable to as i cant seem to find the one in dundee, i know who his parents are but want to find out siblings and also his grandparents if possible, do you know anything or know where i can look?

If all the children were born in Scotland, you would need to search on Scotlands' People, I think.



Freebmd would have English births.

There are only 3 James Robbins in Scotland in 1901 index, none of whom have father Albert, and no James Robbins in England 1901 index who were born in Scotland.

I know where i was going wrong now my Great Grandfather was Albert James Robbins born 1896 and his father was James Robbins and mother was Elizabeth Foy
