Thread: HELP ~ 1871 lookup needed...

I've lost a generation of my family... & believe me I've looked & looked !

I'm trying to find:-



Adam Mill b.1817 Kincardine Scotland

His wife-

Rachel Mill (nee Robinson) b.1844 Worcester

and his Children-

Colin Campbell Mill b. 1863 Claines, Worcestershire.

Eliza Mill b. 1866 Worcester

Annie b.1866 Worcester



I've got all of the other cencus years... if anyone could find them I'd be eternally gratefull...

I looked for all Elizas born 1866 +/- 1 year with Worcester as a keyword.



Then I saw in 1881 there was another son, Adam, born Claines, so I looked for him too.



Nothing. Sorry.

I tried with Colin and Annie last night. I tried by Christian name only and got nothing.

It's weird isn't it? There are children born, after the 1871 cencus, on the 1881 cencus ~ as well as those born before it was taken... so the family still existed... they've just gone missing. Adam & Rachel married in 1862 & had their first son in 1863.

I wondered if they'd gone abroad... Adam was a Catheral Beadsman, which meant he got paid for saying prayers on behalf of a the wealthy... doesn't seem to me as though the family would have been very well off, not enough to go galavanting anyway.
